The Atelier was founded in Rome in 1960, when Teodolinda Giannini Pieralisi created her bespoke dressmaking business. A few years later her daughter Miryam began specialising in wedding dresses, and for the past several years she has been ably assisted by her daughter Laura, an acclaimed designer in high fashion. At the Atelier, each dress is handmade with meticulous attention to every detail: interfacings, bodices, necklines, hems, embroidery stitched by hand on a frame in silk, silver and gold thread or Bohemia crystal.... genuine masterpieces. Every dress is customised and unique. Starting with the bride’s physical shape and taking into account her personality, her desires and the style of the ceremony, the dress is individually designed and created together. For 60 years Atelier Miryam Pieralisi has expressed the art of dressmaking and a love of Made in Italy in all its creations, offering brides exclusive gowns with a price-quality ratio that’s unique in the wedding sector.

Dresses made at the Atelier Miryam Pieralisi are the result of a meticulous artisan process which finds the perfect balance of innovation and tradition every time. Thanks to the painstaking handiwork of the dressmakers and the constant attention of fashion designer Laura Pieralisi, every woman can be exalted with a wedding dress that accentuates her personality and her strengths.

The creative process begins with a sketch by Laura Pieralisi, who passes it into the skilled hands of her staff: from the sketch a paper pattern is produced, enabling the dressmakers to breathe life into what will be the perfect wedding dress.

It’s a lengthy and scrupulous process which prioritises immaculate fabrication and superb quality raw materials. All the fabrics and decorations used are made in Italy and selected by Laura Pieralisi in person: georgette, chiffon, silk tulle, organza, twill, satin and mikado, alongside Swarovski, Bohemian crystal and lace make for sublime handcrafted wedding gowns.

Italian materials are accompanied by a number of European specialities: Chantilly lace from France, macramé from Austria and Sangallo from Switzerland.

Alongside her 30-year career as a fashion designer, Laura Pieralisi is also an image consultant for her brides.
